BEHIND THE EASLE

Hi, I’m Marina Chernova — a fine artist, live painter, and muralist currently based in New York City.

From the time I was a child, art has been my way of seeing and feeling the world. Over the years, that passion has grown into a career where I get to blend storytelling, emotion, and technique into every piece I create.

I specialize in live event painting — capturing the energy and essence of weddings, celebrations, and private events in real time, as the magic unfolds. It’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do: preserving once-in-a-lifetime moments on canvas, and creating something meaningful that people can treasure forever.

Beyond live events, I work on custom portraits, murals, and commissioned fine art pieces. I love the diversity of my work — one day I’m painting at a mountaintop wedding, the next I’m designing a large-scale mural for a creative space or finishing a deeply personal portrait in my studio.

What ties it all together is my intention to create art that feels alive. Whether it’s a quick brushstroke during a first dance or a thoughtful composition developed over weeks, I want the viewer to feel something real.

I’ve had the joy of painting for clients across the U.S. and internationally, and I’m always open to new adventures and collaborations.
